Pete the Pelican

This is one of the big Pelicans that hang around the bait house on the St. Petersburg Pier - they will do anything for food...

This one has cousins in Mexico - the beige/brown feathers and eyes. Bravo Jerry! Getting down to his level and close (17mm) really did the hat trick on this one. Makes my Pelicans look small!

@Anne: Thanks Anne! I had help - the lady that runs the Bait House actually calls them in and gave me a few fish to entice them closer - I got down in the street on my stomach and got the images - it was a lot of fun and these pelicans are big clowns! I'll check yours out. Have a great weekend!
