This is a group picture of the Steve Yerrid Kid’s Fishing Derby for the Pediatric Cancer Society. This spectacular event is for local children that are battling cancer. Every year this gala affair makes the children feel extremely special for a day! The event is funded and organized by the Steve Yerrid Foundation. Steve is a local attorney that has a passion for these children and pours his heart and resources out to make them feel special and funds research to hopefully end this cruel disease! The kids are treated to fishing lessons by pros and they keep their gear – they all receive awards and gifts as this is THEIR DAY! The local pro team mascots are there and several pro athletes including Hall of Famer Wade Boggs and former captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning Dave Andreychuk!
I often share the beauty of our area and wanted to take this opportunity to share some the wonderful people that GIVING BACK to their community! God Bless them all…

It doesn't get any more beautiful than that!!! Children like these are special every day.
Children affected by cancer crosses all political, racial, religious, and socio-economic boundaries. It's important and wonderful to see people coming together for the cause.

Very vivid and touching. A picture not only good as a picture, but also as transferring feeling and love. This happily born obligation to GIVE for community members in need - that's what I admire in Americans, we are maybe too spoiled with government aid paid from taxes and premiums. But I realize that we may not assess these differences too quickly, anyway, this is a wonderful event.
