Locked out!Posted by Jerry (Tampa, United States) on 2 March 2007 in Miscellaneous. I was at the marina this weekend and noticed several of the lockers had old locks with rust on them - put on by marina owner to collect slip rent - he told me this one had been locked for 14 months.....

@Nick Passantino: Thanks Nick! Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandBeautiful colours - I wonder what it would have looked like with more DOF? 2 Mar 2007 7:40am @Bronnie: Thanks Bronnie - I'll experiment with the DoF - thanks for the suggestion!!! benjamin from Singaporebeautiful textures. v nice=) when i saw the words i immediately thought "ice cream!" haha 2 Mar 2007 10:01am @benjamin: Thanks benjamin - much appreciated! Anne from White Rock, CanadaIt is very rusty - you've got very clear detail of that in the foreground and the lock. So I guess it doesn't really matter too much about the detail beyond the lock, that Bronnie wondered about. But, you have a really high shutter speed for a still subject and wide open aperture - if you changed your mode to Aperture priority and changed your aperture setting to f11 your camera would still have had a shutter speed of 1/60th of a second - which would be way more depth of field than you need for that area. Even f8 would have given much detail beyond the lock. It looks good anyway - it just depends what you want? Not wanting to interfere - but other peoples comments set the wheels in my head turning! 2 Mar 2007 10:12am @Anne: Thanks Anne - I'll do some experimenting and try out these suggestions - I appreciate the input!!!
