This is a little place where my Dad used to launch our boat when I was growing up! I used to go fishing there when we did not have the boat out - it was a fun place to grow up!

@Dan Meyers: Thanks Dan! It was just after noon and I usually don't shoot at that time of day, but found myself near there and had been wanting to shoot it for a while - Amen on the summer!

It is a nicely framed and beautiful colored picture! Love the swell on the water. I can't wait for spring to come let alone the summer! When our skies are that colour this last week or two it's been freezing. It dropped to 32 F (0 C) again last night! Oh for our cloud cover and rain again - at least it would be mild!

@Anne: BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! We can not comprehend those type of temperatures! In Florida, we consider it cold when it gets below 60! Out come the sweaters and jackets!!!! Thanks Anne for the continued encouragement!

The wonderful moments reminded in a single frame. The guy fishing is so far away as those days in your childhood. It's a really interesting photo, as something you miss, something long ago. Superb.

good position for photograph....but would be better at sunrise or sunset in my opinion....the sky is too plain....but neways thats only my opinion.

@anden: Thanks anden - you are exactly right about the time of day! A LOT of my pictures are sunrise and sunset - but this was a special place full of childhood memories and I was near there and "took a shot" (or 60) .....thanks again - your opinions are valued!

Wonderful blues. I think the plain sky and plain shapes/lines make this an effective image.
