I have had several people ask about a full shot of my Harley since I posted a picture of some of the chrome. Here's Flo! The helmet and camera bag are optional extras! This was taken in my favorite place in the world - the Smokey Mountains. There is a road - Hwy 129 - that has 318 curves in 11 miles - I am simply addicted to it! The views are to die for. Flo is a 2002 Harley Davidson Road King - she has been incredible! I got her brand new and she runs better today than the 1st day I got on!

The seats look mighty comfortable =D and the side saddle boxes look fast enough to develop wings =D Nice one...Perhpas you should get a shot of your bike with one of the curves in view =D

Great looking bike for photography trips - especially in good weather. You'd laugh if you saw my transport - its an electric scooter! ha ha. But it gets shopping home that is too heavy to carry too far.

Fantastic bike mate!!! I bet it sounds as good as it looks. I'm not a bike man I'm more a modified car man but your bike and the backdrop make a fantastic picture. I am however a huge fan of the TV show American chopper. They are real works of art!!! I'd love to see close up pictures of the crome parts. I think you've got room for abstract work there, especially utilising some reflections.

@Colour blind: Yes - it sounds BAD!!!! I love American Chopper too - incredible bikes they build! I did a close-up about a week ago and several fellow photogs wanted to see the whole bike - but the potential chrome shots are endless. Thanks for stopping by and have a GRAND day!

Beautiful bike Jerry. I started riding about three years ago and love it. I've got an '04 Honda Shadow. Not a HD road king, but it's still a blast to ride.

Well mate that is a piece of machinery. I can understand why you love your wheels so much mate. Really good capture of here to mate the green background really helps your wheels stand out

If you ever take a road trip up north be sure to check out the Riverside Barr & Grill on what they call Motorcycle Mondays , all you can eat pig roast every week, lots of bikes and a good crowd !

I am soooo jealous right now, Jerry. A beautiful machine. I have to make-do with a 400cc Honda Super Four here in Kyoto due to tight motorcycle restrictions, although I have been lucky enough to ride larger bikes too. The 400s are OK but they they just dont have any 'kahoonas' if you get my drift.
Last year I did a 3 week tour of NZ on a 750cc Honda Shadow and it was absolutely incredible. What started as a simple vacation very quickly became a deeply profound and meaningful journey - not just because of the bike obviously - but the landscape of NZ too. Travelling long distances by bike adds something to a journey that I don't think car drivers can understand. I didn't, before I started riding about 4 years ago.
Anyway I should probably have stuck this in an email instead of clogging up your comments space with my nostalgia! Suffice it to say, great wheels Jerry and ride safe!

@Stu: Stu - thanks friend! and I understand exactly what you are saying! The tour through NZ sounded awesome - sounds like you enjoyed it much more than you anticipated! When we ride in the mountains I get a sense of contentment that I find nowhere else - I feel complete and satisfied! You are right - those that don't can never understand....Maybe some day we could be fortunate enough to ride together! Until then, be safe dude!

It's rare to see such a clear example of the mighty Scots Pine as the forest stretches into the distance. A keen observer will spot the two hybrid species (there are slight differences in the way they lean into the wind). And I have to say, I particularly like the starkness of the pylons. Man made trees in the midst of a natural forest. Almost poetic. Well done.

My dad had a custom painted '55 Harley in 55". (Passionate purple). My mom used to ride with him in Bermuda shorts , kneesocks and loafers. We grew up as kids hearing about that bike. family lore...

My 26 year old son has a Harley Road King too - we love every chance we get to ride together. He is in US Army Special Forces in Iraq right now, but we will be riding in a couple months!!!
